Aluminium signs & plaques
We produce aluminium plaques using two technologies. Laser engraving using CO2 or fibre laser, when anodised natural or coloured aluminium sheet is laser engraved, which evaporates the aluminium oxide layer and exposes the natural colour of the sheet. These labels have only two colours, the surface colour of the anodised sheet and the light grey colour after engraving. The labels have good mechanical resistance, which is due to the properties of the anodised sheet, but only two colours.
The second technology we use is anodic printing. It is a digital printing of specially treated aluminium sheet for which the anodizing process has been interrupted, which is completed in a bath after the sheet has been coated. The resulting layer of aluminium oxide is formed over the print ink and thus protects it.
The plaques have excellent durability, unlike labels produced by UV printing for example, they can be cleaned with solvents in case of vandalism. The aluminium oxide layer does not protect the paint from UV radiation, therefore the lifetime of the labels in direct sunlight is in the order of years.
- production time: 3-5 days
- maximum size is 30x50cm, larger on request
- production is starting from one piece
- significantly higher mechanical and chemical resistance than plastic or UV printing
